Midweek Advent Service: Christ Compared with Old Testament Heroes
People like to have heroes. At different stages of life we have superheroes, sports heroes, war heroes. They entertain and inspire us. The Old Testament is full of heroes, men and women who demonstrated bravery, perseverance, and faith. However, by telling us about these heroes the Bible has a greater purpose than entertainment or inspiration. The Bible uses these heroes to point to Christ. As we prepare for Christ to come near this Advent, we will compare him with Old Testament heroes. This Wednesday, December 14, our focus will be: "Christ, Our King, Compared with David." Worship begins at 7:00pm.
